Hydrotherapy

I introduce myself: I am the realm of Hydrotherapy and balneotherapy, representing the Water element, omnipresent across the site. As I am essential to all life and make up more than 70% of the human body, it was only natural that I establish my presence in the wellness spaces to preserve your most precious asset, your health. I am available in many forms, whether as part of a complete medical treatment or a wellness stay, and it is unlikely you will escape my benefits!

Hydrotherapy is a healing thread woven throughout the entire site: whether in the rooms, with specially designed herbal maceration baths for guests; in the Orangerie, with its intimate pool; in the balneotherapy suite on the second floor of Bovino with its large soaking tub; in the hydrotherapy room at Planto; or outside along the Kneipp path—water takes care of you everywhere. Through these spaces, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of reconnecting holistically with natural elements to promote better health. Visitors are also taught simple techniques they can easily incorporate into their daily lives to care for their health and prevent illness.

The balneotherapy suite in Bovino is located near the hotel’s guest suites. Adorned with lush greenery and majestic columns, it invites you to experience herbal maceration baths or soak in the whey from our cows. This moment of softness and relaxation is ideally paired with a massage, a body wrap, or a therapeutic treatment for a deep, revitalizing wellness ritual. The space welcomes both solo and shared experiences—truly echoing the Roman tradition, where bathing was considered a cornerstone of health and well-being.

The hydrotherapy room, located on the health clinic level of Planto, offers a variety of herbal and salt-based baths, as well as therapeutic applications such as colon hydrotherapy, foot baths, and contrast-temperature baths. These methods are part of a broader health program, guided by doctors or therapists within an integrative care approach, always centered on the unique needs of each individual.

The Kneipp path, located in the outdoor garden and inspired by the teachings of Sebastian Kneipp, invites a deep communion with the elements—especially water—as a unique and beneficial sensory experience. It’s a wellness journey for all ages, where even the youngest can begin to learn how to care for their health. Feet delight in cool water over rough stones, then sink into the earth with newfound lightness, while hands are soothed by the gentle caress of spring water. The contrasts—between hot and cold, dry and damp—stimulate circulation and invigorate the entire body. Whether to restore vitality after a period of stress, to ease daily tension, or simply to reconnect with nature and oneself, the Kneipp path remains a welcoming invitation for all who seek authentic well-being.
