The Flower of life

What is it?

The Flower of Lifeis a geometric symbol that consists of nineteen overlapping circles that are spaced evenly apart from one another. The starting point is the central circle. From its centre a basic geometric structure develops which illustrates that all life forms unfold from a single source, such as cell division. The cell division continues until each form of life has reached the harmonious form that suits it.

The golden section can be found in all dimensions of the Flower of Life.

By comparing the 3 drawings above, we can observe that the Flower of Life and the embryo have something in common: a main circle which divides and unfolds in a similar way to cell division.

The Flower of Lifeis a beautiful representation of the creation and growth of all living things on earth. Nature gives life and makes it grow.

The circle around the Flower of Life represents the protective membrane of a cell, with life expressing itself through a body enclosed in a material membrane.

Without its circle, the Flower of Life becomes free and becomes the symbol of infinite life, in other words: the infinite development of cells.

It thus represents the perfect correlation of the phenomenon of expansion and universal vital energy.

This powerful symbol can be found in many cultures and religions.

The emblem of the process of perpetual renewal of life is in its childlike beauty and perfection and thus contributes to the constant re-harmonisation of water structures.
