School on the Farm & Sustainable Development Goals

The intention of the current project is to participate in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) within the scope of our activities and areas.

Before the opening of the buildings in 2023, certain goals will be defined so that we can actively participate in the implementation of the SDGs.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is the new frame of reference for the approach towards global sustainable development. It was unanimously adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015.

What are the goals for sustainable development?

The sustainable development programme and the seventeen goals that go with it are expected to form an ambitious operational plan for the international community until 2030.

The 17 SDGs are integrated - recognising the fact that interventions in one area will influence outcomes in other areas and that this development should balance social, economic and environmental aspects.

They are designed as universal signposts in order to create a viable world, i.e. a world based on ideas of harmony with nature, prosperity, peace, and partnership.

The project of the sector "School on the Farm" is particularly interested in the implementation of the following SDGs:

Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals

SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

  • Teach children basic skills of emotional intelligence in relation to health and well-being.

  • Connect children with the earth and nature - essential sources of balance.

SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

  • Ensure that all pupils acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development.

ODD 16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development

  • Ensure responsive, inclusive, participatory, and representative decision-making at all levels.

  • Ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms, in accordance with national legislation and international agreements.

  • Promote and enforce non-discriminatory laws and policies for sustainable development.
